All-Member Retreat 2006

Summer Conference at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon

From Friday Aug. 4 to Sunday Aug. 6, American Association of University Women members from all over Oregon came together to network, learn from, and teach one another. Along the way, many friendships were formed and bonds strengthened.

Attendees of the 2006 Retreat on Saturday evening

According to Pat Lehman, AAUW of Oregon Program VP, this summer’s ALL-MEMBER Retreat was designed to offer an array of opportunities, ideas, skills, and support to help us move forward with success, confidence, and enthusiasm. The retreat did all that–and so much more.

In the June 2006 newsletter, Oregon News, Lehman predicted that we would “learn about the many aspects of leadership–from our own style and potential, to hot tips about leadership and communications, to the how-to of using parliamentary procedure effectively, to ways of overcoming the challenges ahead.” Her forecast was absolutely true.
