The Traumatic Origins of the Thanksgiving Holiday in the United States with Eve Nañez

Eve Nañez is the Indigenous Event Coordinator, Reed College Multicultural Resource Center. In this session of our anti-racism series, she talks about the traumatic real origins of the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States, as distinct from the mythology celebrated in popular culture. In addition to contextualizing historical events and their consequences for native people today, this workshop goes on to explore ways in which reparations can begin to be made.
